Job Summary
6 month contract to hire to start ASAP:
Assists in the design, implementation, maintenance, and administration databases with respect its schema, data integrity, performance, accessibility, availability, security, and configuration. Performs basic database tasks to support project activities from senior DBA's, Software Engineers, and testers. Assist in supporting and maintaining production databases. As directed establish, instruct, and manage policies and procedures related to database maintenance and administration. Works closely with design teams, technical infrastructure teams, and testing teams.
Requirements :
• Experience: 2 to 5 years related work experience.
Exposure to RAC and Financials database, hands on experience will be added qualification. Must have Strong database development and problem solving skills includes PL/SQL, query optimization, tuning skills and shell scripts.
• Makes use of and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles,theories and concepts.
• Worked with different versions of Oracle including latest 11g.
• Experience and knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and development methodologies.
• Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) experience
· Oracle Financials
· Oracle Scheduler and Advanced queues.
• Expert in Unix and shell scripts
• RMAN backups
• Experience with complete database administration responsibilities
• Experience and knowledge of system programming methodologies and disciplines and database design.
• Experience and training with relational database design, data structures, schemas, scripting, access methods, data standards, data control, and security.
• Working knowledge of multiple operating systems and database platforms.
• Working knowledge of n-tier applications architectures
• Knowledge of tools and technologies related to database advancements.
• Strong analytical skills of system flows and processes; structured thinking.
• Enthusiastic, hard working, independent, and self motivated.
• Excellent organizational, communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• High proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization and external customers.
Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology discipline. Preferred Degree: Information Technology
Due to legal requirements, you must be able to provide documentation indicating that you are a US Person.
