Peter Griffith - VP of R&D

Peter Griffith is a technology and operational leader, with world-class knowledge & insights into wireless networks. With over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry, 20 years of which have been in the design & planning aspects of mobile networks, he has a thorough understanding of the principles required to translate mobile related technical concepts, into successful business models.


Griffith began his international career at Standard Telephones and Cables; now a part of Alcatel; heading-up the design & installation of trans-continental submarine cable systems.


Staying at the cutting edge of his sector he demonstrated pioneering spirit & sharp foresight in 1990, when he was amongst the first to join the management team of Mercury Personal Communications: - The first GSM network in the world to become operational. During his tenure he was responsible for successfully coordinating multi-faceted resources to deliver a substantial portion of the then pioneering launch infrastructure, against a backdrop of tight financial constraints & market driven competitive deadlines.


Moving to work as a freelance consultant specializing in GSM network design & core network optimization in 1995, Peter was responsible for the least-cost, optimal efficiency design of several wireless networks in both North America & Europe.


In 2001 Griffith moved from a senior position as Head of Network and Services Planning for British Telecoms' O2 Wireless operation in Europe, to work with Dataworkforce in the USA.


Griffith holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering from The University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, & is a Member of the British Institution of Electrical Engineers.
